With the holidays coming up, it is easy to get stressed out. There are so many fun events to attend and friends to see. You may also give and get gifts. I know sometimes I worry about how I am going to afford to buy everyone gifts.
But I have learned that it is not about how much I spend on each gift. It is about being thoughtful and seeing their faces light up when they open their gifts. I like to think about what we enjoy doing together or finding a gift that reminds them of a memory that we share. Some of my friends are crafty and we like to make gifts. There are many how-to videos online that will show you easy projects you can make as gifts.
Here are the top five gifts that Riot readers came up with:
1. Gifts cards
2. Lotto tickets
3. Make-up and other beauty products
4. Chocolate and other candy
These things will not break the bank. I also like to write a little note to wish them a happy holiday and share why I am grateful for them. This will turn the gift into something extra special. Sometimes doing small things can leave a lasting memory that will be cherished for years.
I hope everyone has a great holiday and that you continue to make memories with your family and friends.
See you next year!
